SAME TERMINATED INSTITUTE TRAINING FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS AFTER DETERMINING THERE ARE SIGNS OF IMPROPER BEHAVIOR

 The Same District Security Committee in Kilimanjaro region has decided to intervene and stop the training provided by the non-governmental organization Empower Tanzania to primary and secondary school teachers in the district after finding out that the training shows signs of inappropriate values.

 The training provided by the institution was about community health, reproductive health and relationships, but the security and safety committee has identified the presence of indicators that are not compatible with Tanzanian values.

 The Chairman of the Committee for Protection and Security, who is the Head of the District of Same Kasilda Mgeni, has said that in the monitoring, they have found that there is a big deficiency, including some of the pictures and words contained in the books used by the institution to teach that there are indicators to encourage things that are not suitable for students.

 In addition to suspending training, the security and safety committee has also asked the director of the institution to suspend all activities related to social health, reproductive health and relationship training for primary and secondary school students in Same district until it is ordered otherwise.  security to provide clarification on these issues.

 The guest has said that the books found to be used by the institution may be among those prohibited by the Government from being distributed or used in various places in the country, especially in educational institutions, and that all books should be taken for further investigation, also revised before being used if appropriate.
